Double the chance to try Sea Kayaking
The Canoe England Sea Touring committee has purchased 4 plastic double sea kayaks, as part of its continuing brief to promote sea kayaking. The kayaks are available for hire to individual BCU members, or to affiliated clubs. The intention is to offer a stable platform for those who would like to try sea kayaking, but who might find existing single kayaks a little challenging, or for those with less experience or physical agility.
The Wilderness systems Northstar kayaks look wide and sedentary but can achieve a fair degree of speed with two competent paddlers, and are great for longer trips particularly if carrying camping kit. They are also good fun!
The doubles come equipped with rudders and are very manoeuvrable. The kayaks will be available for use at Canoe England STC events and are available for hire at other times from the STC. The kayaks are located in different parts of the country under the supervision of STC committee members. Please enquire for their current location prior to hiring.
Hire Charges: (payable in advance)

Week £40
Returnable deposit £100. Payable by cheque, guaranteed by a cheque guarantee card.
Returnable upon satisfactory return of kayaks & equipment.
Currently 2 Kayaks are located in North Wales, 1 in Dorset and 1 in Devon.
